Welcome to Three Forks
A quiet small town with country ranch estates and endless river fishing
Three Forks got its name from the convergence of three rivers – Madison, Jefferson, and Gallatin. These rivers flow together at Headwaters State Park and form the Missouri River. Three Forks has endless miles of blue-ribbon trout fishing and a fantastic golf course in town. The winter here is milder than in Bozeman; there are ponds for kayaking and canoeing on warm days. It’s a small town with vast choices for recreational activities.
Downtown Three Forks is home to historic structures such as the Sacajawea Hotel and Three Valleys State Bank. You’ll find newly constructed condominiums and elegant single-family homes close to all the dining and shopping downtown. Farther out, you’ll find large historic cottages and riverside ranch estates complete with equestrian trails and farmhouses. Three Forks Airport is one mile south of downtown, and Bozeman is a 30-minute drive away.
